With an extensive U.S.-Mexico cross-border experience, Carola provides advice and counsel to employers on a wide range of labor and employment matters and conducts impartial workplace investigations in both English and Spanish. Her areas of expertise include traditional labor relations, workplace investigations, employee misconduct, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, wage and hour, federal labor preemption, leaves of absence, employment litigation, and audits.
Prior to joining Clarus, Carola worked at a prominent employment defense firm where she advised and defended employers in a variety of labor and employment disputes. Additionally, Carola represented employers in traditional labor matters relating to union organizing, grievance arbitrations, and unfair labor practices. Carola also served 8 years in the United States Marine Corps and was primarily based in Okinawa, Japan.
Carola is based in San Diego, CA. She enjoys playing golf, reading, weightlifting, traveling, and relaxing with her cat.
